Lindsey Stirling has switched from pop to country music for a moment to celebrate the holidays. The violin virtuoso joined country music’s top female stars on ABC’s CMA Country Christmas.

Lindsey Stirling Performs on CMA Country Christmas

On December 14, Stirling performed alongside country music songstresses in Nashville, Tennessee for CMA Country Christmas. During the show, she did a total of three performances.

The violinist performed “Joy to the World” with co-hosts Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood. Furthermore, she collaborated with Yearwood for a rendition of “O Holy Night.”

While Stirling’s music is focused on pop and mandarin pop, the CMA Country Christmas is not the first time that Stirling impressed with country music. She’s already did a rodeo back in her younger years.

“When I was in college and trying to test the waters of being a professional violinist, I played with a country band … I was a fiddle player and backup singer … and we did, like, the rodeo circuit. So I really dove deep into country for a minute there,” she said in a recent ABC Audio.

With her passion for music or manifest potential to ace the country music, Stirling is no way closing her doors to exploring more about the genre.

“And I do like country music, and who knows? Maybe someday I’ll be ready to, like, kind of full circle it back and do, like, a fiddle album, because I love fiddle music,” she said.

Fans Praise Her Awesome Performances

Upon watching her performances, fans expressed their appreciation for Lindsey’s talent. One internet user stated how great it was for CMA to include her in the lineup of performers.

“Lindsey you had a wonderful performance, so glad that CMA included you in their program. Was Blessed to see you at the CMA filming as well. Hope to catch your concert someday,” the person wrote.

“I love how your passion really shines when you play. Thank you for the hard work and practice that you put in to bring joy to all of us,” another person wrote.

“Mesmerizing. Amazing. Jaw dropping,” a user commented. “I am still looking for my jaw, it dropped down indeed and I can’t find it.”

The holiday special aired on ABC on December 14. However, for those who missed it, they can still watch the encore presentation airing this week. Stirling announced this news on Instagram.

“So nice we’ll do it twice. If you missed the CMA Country Christmas, check out an encore presentation, airing on Wed, Dec. 20 at 10/9c on ABC! The entire program will also be available On Demand and streaming on Hulu and Disney+ for six months!” she wrote.
