Adrian Stoica & Hurricane Named AGT Season 18 Winner

On Tuesday night, the Top 11 finalists took the stage for their final chance to earn America’s vote. On Wednesday, host Terry Crews announced that the Top 5 acts were Ramadhani Brothers, Putri Ariani, Adrian Stoica & Hurricane, Anna DeGuzman, and Murmuration.

From there, we learned that Ramadhani Brothers finished in fifth place and Putri Ariani finished in fourth place. Murmuration came in third. Then it was down to the Top 2 acts, Adrian Stoica & Hurricane and Anna DeGuzman.

Eventually, Crews announced that America had voted for Adrian Stoica & Hurricane to be the winning act. They earned the $1 million prize and a headlining slot in the AGT Superstars Live show in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, runner-up Anna DeGuzman made it farther in the competition than any other female close-up magician who came before her.

Another notable moment during the results came when Crews announced that Mzansi Youth Choir (who did not make it into the Top 5) had received an exciting invitation from the band Coldplay to join them at their upcoming concert in San Diego.

Wednesday’s finale episode also featured several performances from this season’s finalists, alongside some special guest stars. For example, Lavender Darcangelo joined Diane Warren to perform “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” while Mzansi Youth Choir performed “Worship” with Jon Basiste.

Murmuration and Anna DeGuzman took the stage with Jason Derulo, while Putri Ariani and Leona Lewis teamed up for a duet of “Run” by Snow Patrol. Adrian Stoica & Hurricane also had a funny cooking segment with Cat Cora.

Meanwhile, Chibi Unity and Ramadhani Brothers shared the stage with the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, and last season’s winning dance group the Mayyas showed off a stunning routine.
